Tournament rules
Platform
Device: PlayStation 5. Game: Street Fighter 6 (latest available version). Players bring their own controller, arcade stick or leverless controller. Turbo functions, macros and controllers that do not comply with CPT rules are forbidden.
Tournament format
Mode: 1v1. Bracket: double elimination. Grand final: BO5, bracket reset depending on the format chosen by the organizer.
Match format
All matches up to Top 8: BO3 (first to 2). Top 8: winners finals, losers finals. Grand final: BO5 (first to 3).
Game settings
Timer: 99 seconds. First to 2 rounds per game (best of 3 rounds). Input Delay Reduction: on. Game settings stay at default unless the organizer says otherwise.
Allowed control types
Classic: allowed. Modern: allowed. Dynamic: banned in competitive play.
Stage select
Random select. Players may pick another stage only by mutual agreement where the rules allow it. The Training Room stage is banned in competition.
Character change
The winner keeps their character. The loser may change character before the next game.
Pauses and technical issues
An accidental pause may cost a round or lead to a referee decision depending on context. After a double K.O. or a technical issue affecting the game, it may be replayed with the same characters and stage.
Lateness
Usual tolerance: 10 to 15 minutes. Beyond that: forfeit loss (DQ).
Behavior
Forbidden: insults, unsporting behavior, cheating, macros, illegal game modifications, deliberate bug abuse. Sanctions range from a warning to disqualification.
Result validation
Both players confirm the score. In case of dispute the referee may request a screenshot or video, or have the match replayed if necessary.
General code of conduct
Take care of all the equipment and software you use, as well as the furniture. Be friendly and considerate towards every participant. Bring your own controller and the required cables, including a GC adapter. When the organizers call an end to freeplay, stop immediately: no “one more stock”, no “almost done”, the tournament's punctuality depends on you! If the rules are not respected, the organizer reserves the right to ban players from the tournament.
Image rights and data protection
By taking part in or attending the GIGA'GAMES, Guadeloupe Gaming Caribbean Destination event, held on Sunday July 26 at the Palais des Sports Laura Flessel in Petit-Bourg (Guadeloupe), every participant and visitor acknowledges that they may be photographed, filmed or recorded.
Pictures, videos and recordings made during the event may be used by the organizer and/or its partners on any communication medium, including web, social media, press, billboards, digital media, television and radio, to publish results, inform or promote the event, without any payment, compensation or consideration being claimable.
In accordance with the applicable personal data protection regulations and the rights recognized by the CNIL, anyone may request the removal of their personal data or visual likeness by sending an e-mail to lagigagames@gmail.com or verifggic@gmail.com. Every request will be reviewed and handled as quickly as possible, in compliance with the law in force.
