Mèt a domino la: the quintessential Caribbean board game, featured at the 2024 Family Video Game Festival.
At the 2nd edition of the Family Video Game, Board Games and Manga Festival by GIGA'GAMES, the Guadeloupe Dominoes Championship had its own dedicated arena at the Palais des Sports Laura Flessel in Petit-Bourg. Launched at 1pm, the championship brought together dominoes fans of all ages in a warm, intergenerational atmosphere.
Present from 9:30am, the Lud and Art discovery area offered gifts and resin-crafted domino designs, highlighting the care taken to celebrate Caribbean gaming in all its forms. A rare moment not to be confused with the digital version: the championship was played with real dominoes.
A packed day for the whole Festival
The dominoes championship was part of an extraordinary programme: esport competitions (EA FC eCup de France LGF, eFootball and MLBB WEC24 qualifiers, Naruto Storm Connections, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe), Guadeloupe Cosplay Contest 2024, photo opportunity with Mario Bros in person at 2pm, interactive shooting ranges, simulators, virtual reality, health sport gaming, Seniors Cyber Trophy, manga village with Panda-Chan and the Nakamas, and the GIGA LYN'C DJS AWARDS 2 Show at 6pm.
